Stacey Chiu focuses her practice in labor and employment law, real estate, professional liability, and commercial litigation.
Ms. Chiu represents employers in class action, multi-plaintiff and single plaintiff lawsuits under California and federal law on a wide range of labor and employment law matters, including discrimination, wrongful termination, whistleblower and retaliation claims, and workplace harassment. She also counsels and advises companies on a variety of pre-litigation employment issues.
Ms. Chiu has expertise in sharing economy issues, including risk management, litigation, and counsel regarding the sharing economy (e.g. home-sharing, ride-sharing businesses).
While in law school, Ms. Chiu participated in the Medical Legal Partnership for Seniors Clinic, which allowed her to provide substantial representation to elderly clients on issues related to health care, long term care planning, Social Security, and Medicare/Medicaid. Ms. Chiu also was a member of the nationally ranked Hastings Moot Court Team and served as a Senior Articles Editor for the Hastings Law Journal.
