Ronald Oakes-Cunningham focuses his practice on insurance coverage defense, data privacy and cybersecurity issues. He prepares coverage opinion letters regarding upstream and downstream insurance coverage(s) and participates in all phases of complex commercial and residential cases. As part of KDV’s San Francisco data privacy & cybersecurity group, Mr. Oakes-Cunningham advises clients on complex privacy and security issues and handles matters involving cybersecurity incident response and breach identification.
During his time in law school, Mr. Oakes-Cunningham was an active member of the George Washington Law School Moot Court team, and interned for the DC Public Defenders office, representing and mentoring young men ensnared in the penal system.
