Roland A. Vitanza has extensive experience practicing in the area of tort litigation. Mr. Vitanza represents a multitude of insurance carriers, municipalities, corporations, hospitals, emergency rescue services and religious institutions in the New York Metropolitan area regarding high exposure claims for bodily injury and property damage. Mr. Vitanza also handles the defense of high exposure claims related to vertical transportation matters arising out of elevator and escalator injury. He has successfully litigated matters representing these entities in both state and federal court.
Mr. Vitanza’s practice is also focused on the defense of construction companies regarding claimed violations of the New York State Labor Law resulting in bodily injury. Specifically, these claims relate to common law negligence and violations of New York State Labor Law sections 200, 240(1) and 241(6), as well as, violations of the New York State Industrial Code and Occupational Safety Health Administration Code.
Mr. Vitanza is a graduate of Hofstra University, where he received a bachelor of arts in British and American literature. He attended Hofstra University School of Law. At Hofstra Law, he was awarded with an internship at Nunziate Magrone, Studio Legale, in Rome, Italy.
