Reshma Khanna concentrates her practice on all aspects of employment law. She defends employers in litigation in state and federal courts, as well as federal, state, and city agencies. She provides preventive counseling to insurers, employers, corporate boards, non-profits, and to management. Ms. Khanna defends executives and employers involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, statutory violations, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and wage-and-hour violations, among others.

Ms. Khanna routinely handles Title III ADA accessibility compliance concerns, and litigation for places of public accommodation, including website accessibility matters. Her experience includes defending Fair Housing Act complaints. In addition to litigating, Ms. Khanna regularly counsels employers on employment agreements, employee handbooks, and employment policies, practices, and procedures. Ms. Khanna  represents employers before a wide variety of administrative agencies, including the New York State Department of Labor, the New York State Office of the Attorney General, the New York State Department of State, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City Commission on Human Rights, and the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.

Additionally, Ms. Khanna practices in professional liability and defends accountants, attorneys, physicians, insurance agents and brokers, real estate professionals, against errors and omissions claims in state and federal courts. Her experience includes representing businesses and their management in commercial litigation matters involving claims of breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, and breach of fiduciary duty. Ms. Khanna also handles employee theft and social engineering fraud cases under fidelity and crime policies. Her experience also includes defending not-for-profit entities such as homeowners’ associations.

From her prior experience in insurance law, Ms. Khanna brings a unique perspective and strategic approach. She managed matters for large insurers, reinsurers, and claims management firms. Her experience in the insurance industry included making coverage determinations, assessing liability and damages, and negotiating favorable settlements for claims involving employment practices liability, directors and officers liability, errors and omissions, and more. 

Ms. Khanna speaks at presentations and on webinars and serves as a mediator at the New York Peace Institute, a non-profit agency that supports New York City residents, to resolve disputes and avoid the court system.
