Overview

Rebecca Turner is Of Counsel at KDV’s San Francisco and Sonoma offices, where her practice focuses on professional liability/errors & omissions, labor and employment law, and commercial litigation.  She represents businesses, accountants, architects, engineers, insurance agents, attorneys, real estate agents and brokers, directors and corporate officers, and financial services professionals. 

Prior to joining KDV, Ms.Turner worked as in-house counsel for Progressive Insurance Company where she provided first and third-party legal representation to Progressive insureds and the Progressive Insurance Companies.  She also founded her own law firm which focused on Business Counseling, Business Formation, Real Estate, and Business and Employment litigation.  Ms. Turner and her team defended the largest Sober Living Home operator in the country from the United States Department of Labor, in a case of first impression.   She has performed all aspects of complex civil litigation, including high risk insurance defense, medical malpractice & healthcare, catastrophic loss, and wage and hour.  She also has an in-depth knowledge litigation management, legal technology, ESI & eDiscovery, and discovery matters.

Ms. Turner is admitted in California and Louisiana. She graduated from Loyola University School of Law with her J.D., including both Civil Law and International Law Certificates; and she was a Research Assistant in International Regulation of Financial Services & Foreign Investments.  She received her B.A. in both American Government and Women’s Studies from Smith College. Ms. Turner also attended The London School of Economics and Political Science where she earned a General Course Diploma in B.Sc (Econ) Government.
