Overview

Michael Ganz focuses his practice on construction law and has more than 20 years of experience in construction transactional matters and litigation. Mr. Ganz has a wealth of experience in private business representation, public industry experience, and engineering, making him a strong asset to his clients.

He represents a wide range of construction industry clients including private and public-sector owners, developers, general contractors, trade and subcontractors, design professionals, and sureties. Mr. Ganz handles issues relating to contract litigation, surety law and the analysis of construction claims. He also develops and negotiates construction claims and contracts.

Additionally, Mr. Ganz manages state and federal commercial litigation, and mediation and arbitration. He also has experience in prevailing wage labor law. Further, Mr. Ganz has handled certain directors and officers insurance litigation issues on behalf of carriers. He serves as a panelist in a variety of construction-related legal disputes on behalf of the American Arbitration Association’s Construction Division. He has also written articles and given presentations for the legal and construction industry.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Ganz was a mechanical and project engineer for ten years in both the private and public sectors. This included working for the New York State Office of General Services, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and serving as deputy counsel to the Manhattan Borough President.
