Lori Adelson practices in the areas of labor and employment law, representing employers and management in hundreds of matters before federal and state agencies and in federal and state court. Ms. Adelson works with private and public sector employers, and EPLI carriers in the representation of their insureds and works closely with clients to help them navigate the multitude of laws, regulations and ordinances that govern the workplace, while defending them when necessary before governmental agencies and in state and federal court.

Ms. Adelson’s broad range of experience includes jury and non-jury trials in employment discrimination and commercial litigation cases in state and federal court, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, and family medical leave; day-to-day preventative counseling and advice; HR management, including wage and hour audits, creating and implementing policies and procedures and employee handbooks; risk management; and training for supervisors and human resources personnel on managing the workplace and complying with Federal, State, and Local employment laws and regulations.

Ms. Adelson also provides dispute resolution services including mediation, arbitration and neutral fact finding. She also counsels business owners on ADA accessibility and compliance.

Ms. Adelson regularly lectures on labor and employment law issues at a variety of organizations including bar associations, and national and local human resources associations. She is often quoted as an employment law expert in national and local publications and news sources.
