Lauren Jones heads the San Francisco Real Estate Litigation team on Superior Court litigation and private arbitration. Over the course of her career, she has focused her practice on real property litigation, trust and probate litigation, and landlord-tenant matters. She has extensive hands-on experience with each phase of litigation, including: pre-litigation settlements, drafting initial pleadings, handling written discovery and depositions, law and motion drafting and arguments, end-stage mediation, through trial, if necessary.
Ms. Jones regularly assists with residual real property matters throughout the probate process, including working with trustees, family, and even court appointed fiduciaries to deal with hold over occupants in real property belonging to the estate.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Jones utilizes her in depth knowledge of state and local housing laws to handle tenant buyout agreement negotiations and drafting.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Ms. Jones quickly adapted and became well versed in taking her litigation practice virtual for depositions, court hearings and proceedings, mediation, and even prevailing at multi-week arbitrations for her KDV clients.
