Overview

Kathleen Mullins focuses her practice on professional liability, insurance coverage and litigation, general liability, and commercial litigation. 

She represents a broad range of professionals in defense of allegations of errors, omissions, malpractice, and negligence. Ms. Mullins defends businesses, individuals, and their insurers against claims alleging a violation of professional or ethical standards in courts, before regulatory bodies, and at arbitrations and mediations.

In the area of insurance coverage, she is involved in the analysis of insurance policy provisions and advising clients on their potential liability and obligations. She also handles a wide variety of insurance coverage litigation matters, including the representation of both insurers and insureds, in the areas of commercial general liability, professional liability errors and omissions, and subrogation matters. 

Ms. Mullins represents clients in all stages of litigation including preparing and arguing motions for summary judgment/dismissal, discovery disputes, and motions in limine relating to expert testimony and other evidentiary issues at trial.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Mullins practiced in the areas of premises liability, legal malpractice defense, nursing home negligence, and insurance coverage. She defended medical practitioners and health care facilities in high-risk exposure matters across New York State.
