Jodi Girten, partner, focuses her practice on the litigation of professional liability claims, which includes the defense of attorneys, accountants, real estate professionals and insurance agents and brokers. Ms. Girten has represented very prominent attorneys from all types and sizes of law firms in connection with a wide variety of underlying litigation matters and transactions. Ms. Girten also advises attorneys and law firms on legal professional and ethics issues.
In addition, she focuses her practice on defending employers against discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment and wage and hour claims and also defends corporate officers and directors and businesses in a variety of litigation matters.
Before joining Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP, Ms. Girten was a partner with Waxler Carner Brodsky LLP and before that served as the assistant director of compliance at University of Southern California, where she used her business education and legal experience to implement compliance practices and policies on a university-wide basis. Prior thereto, Ms. Girten was an associate with Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP.
