Overview

Jack Eyers focuses on commercial litigation as well as on insurance-coverage issues for insurance carriers whose clients range from small businesses to large, multi-national corporations. He works on general liability cases, directors’ and officers’ liability, and cybersecurity liability, among other areas. His clients note his attention to detail in analyzing insurance-policy provisions to advise them about the extent of their liability for claims. He is involved in mediations and settlements for insurers in cases in which hundreds of millions of dollars are at stake.

In his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Eyers works with corporate executives, business owners, and in-house general counsel to navigate complex issues and avoid business disruptions. He represents businesses, financial institutions, and not-for-profit organizations.

While attending UCLA Law School, Mr. Eyers worked as a law clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, where he assisted in the preparation of murder prosecutions. He acted as a case expert and researched complex penal-code sections involving gang-related accomplice liability and the constitutionality of testimony from jail house informants. Prior to that, Mr. Eyers was a legal assistant for a Seattle, Wash., personal-injury law firm, and assisted in depositions and discovery.

During law school, Mr. Eyers was co-president of UCLA Law School’s Trial Team, an experience in which he won the most trials in 2021 on UCLA’s Trial Team, which led the nation’s law school trial teams in wins by a wide margin. He was an editor of UCLA Law School’s Disability Law Journal and served as a legal researcher for the Covid Behind Bars Data Project.
