Overview

Ellen Boyd focuses her practice on professional liability. Ms. Boyd represents a wide range of professionals in matters of errors and omissions, including on behalf of lawyers, insurance and real estate agents, brokers, and accountants. She also prepares and represents attorneys in connection with State Bar investigations. Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Boyd was a litigation associate working in general liability claim matters.

During law school, Ms. Boyd served as a legal extern for the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, in Los Angeles, where she assisted the Employment and Administrative Mandate Section with defending claims arising under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). Ms. Boyd also volunteered pro bono at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, and served as President of the Women’s Law Caucus.

Ms. Boyd is proficient in Spanish.
