Cynthia Kinney focuses her practice on the representation of management in broad range of employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and other various statutory and tort claims.  In this regard, Ms. Kinney routinely defends claims made under various state and federal statutes, including Title VII, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, the California Labor Code, the Family Medical Leave Act, the California Family Rights Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.  In addition, Ms. Kinney defends businesses and property owners in disability access cases.  

Ms. Kinney litigates matters in both state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies such as the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.

Ms. Kinney also provides legal counsel in professional liability cases for clients including lawyers, insurance brokers, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and accountants.
