Bruce Young is a Partner focusing his practice on the defense of construction industry contractors, subcontractors, vertical transportation equipment manufacturers and installers, and other construction-related industry entities. Mr. Young represents clients in a cross section of legal issues confronting the industries including personal injury, NY Labor Law, as well as construction-delay claims. He has a thorough understanding of complex technical and engineering issues, including the relevant codes required to successfully navigate complicated engineering and product liability cases. Throughout his career, he has taken more than 50 cases to trial/verdict.
Mr. Young was a founding Partner at Babchik & Young, LLP, a respected defense firm in New York, for more than 22 years, before joining forces with KDV in 2021.
He has achieved a 5.0 peer-reviewed status from Martindale Hubbell® from his peers and been named to the New York SuperLawyers® list for eight consecutive years. Mr. Young is an active member of the legal community in New York and is a member of several law-related organizations.
Outside of his law practice, Mr. Young enjoys flying since he is an instrument-rated pilot, with high performance and complex endorsements.
