Barbara Herzig, Special Counsel, is a real estate attorney who her focuses her practice on common interest developments and subdivisions, including the unique and complex San Francisco laws regarding condominium conversions and construction of new units on properties with existing buildings. Ms. Herzig is one of the Bay Area’s leading pioneers in converting rental properties into condominiums, creating condominiums on buildings under construction, and tenancy-in-common formation.
Ms. Herzig has decades of experience representing developers, homeowners, and homeowner associations, and drafting CC&Rs, TIC agreements, and easement and encroachment agreements. She has been, and remains, one of the most respected real estate attorneys in the region for her area of expertise.
Ms. Herzig works regularly with the San Francisco Department of Public Works on approval of subdivision maps, and the California Department of Real Estate, regarding public reports needed to market condominium projects, as well as other agencies in the subdivision process.
Ms. Herzig maintains her own private practice, while serving as special counsel to KDV, where she offers her expertise in-house to KDV clients.
