Overview
Andrew Kao focuses his practice on construction law. He represents general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, developers, and sureties at all stages of litigation in both state and federal court. He counsels clients in contract negotiations and real estate transactions to better protect clients in case a dispute arises.
Mr. Kao also teaches a course, Construction Contract Law and Practices, at Baruch College where he helps contractors, subcontractors, and developers understand the fundamentals of construction contracting, including project delivery methods, types of contractual arrangements, roles and responsibilities of the parties and common issues such as changes, delays, defective workmanship, default, and termination.
