Press Release: Kaufman Dolowich Adds Two Securities Litigators

Posted May 10, 2017

(May 10, 2017, Chicago, IL) — Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP (KD), a leading national law firm, today announced that two securities litigators have joined the firm. Nancy L. Hendrickson is a partner with more than 25 years of experience in securities litigation and arbitration and will be based in the Chicago office. Julie Thrall Burrow is joining as of counsel and will be based in Seattle. On March 1, KD added 15 attorneys from Chicago-based Baugh Dalton LLC, a boutique law firm specializing in financial services, professional and general liability, employment practices liability, commercial litigation and insurance coverage.

Hendrickson has extensive trial and arbitration experience in complex commercial cases, with an emphasis on matters arising in the financial services industry. Her experience includes securities fraud and investment-related disputes, SEC regulatory and enforcement proceedings, and FINRA arbitrations. She also focuses on recruiting and transition issues within the financial services industry, including TROs and injunction hearings across the country involving covenants not to compete, prosecuting and defending employee “raiding” cases, and counseling clients on matters relating to the Protocol for Broker Recruiting.

Prior to joining KD, Hendrickson was managing partner and founder of Hendrickson Law Firm in Chicago where the firm provided litigation and arbitration services for the financial services industry. Before that, she was a partner at Steptoe & Johnson LLP in Chicago.

“KD and the Hendrickson Law Firm have very complementary practices and I have had the very pleasant opportunity to cross paths with a number of the attorneys at KD over the years,” said Hendrickson. “KD’s broad geographic footprint and regulatory capabilities will be of great value to our clients.”

Hendrickson earned her B.A. from Northwestern University and her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law where she achieved the academic distinction with honor and was appointed to the Order of the Coif. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Burrow’s practice focuses on securities litigation arbitration and enforcement matters, complex commercial litigation and employment counseling and litigation. She represents clients in commercial disputes, regulatory inquiries and investigations and FINRA arbitrations. Burrow was a partner at Hendrickson Law Firm.

Burrow earned her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Washington. She is admitted to practice in Illinois, Oregon and Washington.

“With the addition of Nancy and Julie so close on the heels of the Baugh Dalton combination, it is an exciting time at KD in Chicago as we continue to grow to become a leading trusted advisor and counsel to the financial services industry,” said David A. Baugh, co-managing partner of KD’s Chicago office.
