PRESS RELEASE: Four Attorneys in Kaufman Dolowich’s Pennsylvania office named 2014 Super Lawyers Rising Stars

(May 27, 2014) — Gregory F. Brown, Anna M. Darpino, Seth Spiegal, and Christopher J. Tellner, associates in Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck’s Pennsylvania office have all been named 2014 Rising Stars by Super Lawyers. This is Ms. Darpino and Mr. Tellner’s first time receiving the distinction, the third year for Mr. Brown, and the second consecutive year for Mr. Spiegal.

Gregory F. Brown focuses his practice on professional liability/errors and omissions and general liability litigation. His litigation experience includes representing insurers, manufacturers, telecommunications companies, construction companies, hospitals, physicians, universities, cultural institutions, and other entities before the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. After graduating from Rutgers School of Law, Camden, Mr. Brown served as a law clerk to the Honorable Howard H. Kestin, P.J.A.D., of the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey.

Anna M. Darpino concentrates her practice in employment practices liability defense. While attending Widener University School of Law, Ms. Darpino interned for the Honorable Tonianne Bongiovanni, U.S.M.J. in Mercer County, New Jersey and for the Delaware Office of the Attorney General in Wilmington, Delaware. She also served as the President of the Student Bar Association, the Assistant Editor for the Law Forum, and was a member of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society. Ms. Darpino has also served as the law clerk for the Honorable Bill Mathesius, J.S.C. in Mercer County, New Jersey, where she also acted as a certified mediator.

Seth Spiegal focuses his practice on labor and employment law, and employment practices liability coverage. He represents employers in matters involving Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and restrictive covenants. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Spiegal worked as an appellate prosecutor with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. He also served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable James F. McClure, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Norma L. Shapiro, of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Spiegal is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law.

Christopher J. Tellner is an experienced trial attorney. He concentrates his practice in insurance coverage and bad faith matters as well as life, health and disability litigation, complex commercial litigation, medical malpractice, and professional liability of lawyers, architects and engineers. Mr. Tellner has litigated matters regarding complex commercial insurance coverage, federal and state whistleblower claims, healthcare fraud and regulation, white-collar criminal defense, municipal construction contract fraud, real estate fraud, Sunshine Act litigation, and medical/professional liability. Mr. Tellner is a graduate of Widener University School of Law, where he served as Internal Managing Editor for the Law Review.
