PRESS RELEASE: Anna Maria Tejada, President of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, Rejoins Kaufman Dolowich as Partner in Firm’s Hackensack, New Jersey Office

(November 4, 2013, Hackensack, NJ) — Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP (KD), a leading national law firm, is pleased to announce that Anna Maria Tejada has rejoined the firm as a partner in its Hackensack, NJ office and director of its New Jersey Labor and Employment Practice. On October 30th, Tejada was sworn in as president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ).

Tejada focuses her practice in labor and employment law on behalf of management, EPL, directors and officers liability, professional liability and general and special education law. She also conducts HR training to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws. She represents employers, attorneys, school boards, parents and municipalities in state and federal courts as well as administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Division on Civil Rights and the Office of Administrative Law. Tejada rejoins Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck from the Gonzo Law Group, where she was a partner in the firm’s Hackensack, NJ office.

Tejada was sworn in as president of the HBA-NJ for 2013-2014 on October 30th at Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ. Tejada earned her B.A. from Rutgers University and her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law, Newark. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, U.S. District Court, New Jersey and the U.S. Supreme Court. Tejada participates in mentoring programs for inner city youths in her hometown of Passaic and throughout New Jersey.

KD is very much in expansion mode in New Jersey with significant lateral additions over the past months. Tejada is the second partner to return to KD in recent months. Nucifora rejoined as co-managing partner of the New Jersey office in June. Gino Zonghetti, co-managing partner of the KD New Jersey office and a veteran admiralty, employment practices liability and professional liability attorney, and Robert Berns, a partner who has 25 years of experience in professional liability defense, ethics proceedings, insurance and commercial disputes, joined within the past six months. In addition, one counsel and three associates have recently joined the KD NJ office.
