Posted Jun 17, 2022

June 17, 2022 – KDV today announced new office managing partner and practice group leader appointments; a strategic response to the firm’s steady growth in lawyers and expanding geographic footprint.

“Dedicated leadership is critical to maintaining the firm’s upward trajectory and KDV’s leadership appointments serve to ensure the firm’s continued growth is properly supported,” said KDV Co-Managing Partner Michael Kaufman. “We pride ourselves on encouraging our attorneys’ personal and professional growth by offering leadership opportunities that extend beyond the daily practice of law. We count on those taking on these positions to help us advance the firm’s market position and diversity of voice.”

New KDV managing partners:

  • Abbye Alexander joins Bruce Liebman as co-managing partner of the firm’s Orlando, Fla. office; and
  • David Brown joins Stefan Dandelles as co-managing partner of the firm’s Chicago office.

New KDV practice group leaders:

  • Reshma Khanna and Angella Myers join Keith Gutstein as co-leaders of the firm’s Labor and Employment Law practice; and
  • David Brown joins Laura Ruettgers as co-leader of the firm’s Cyber Coverage practice.

“We are incredibly appreciative to the attorneys who are transitioning out of leadership positions for the time they have invested into advancing the firm’s interests and implementing the firm’s client-first and collaborative culture,” said KDV Co-Managing Partner Ivan Dolowich. “They have passed the baton to a new group of leaders who we know will continue the positive path the firm is on in service of our diverse clients.”

KDV’s continued expansion in key practice areas and locations signals the firm’s commitment to ensuring its clients receive exceptional service by providing quality counsel when and where it is needed. In this year alone, the firm opened offices in Dallas, Texas, New Orleans, Westport, Conn. and Torrance, Calif. Last year, KDV opened an office in Westchester County, N.Y., the firm’s third New York location.

“We owe our growth to our clients, who appreciate that we understand their needs and partner with them to handle the challenges confronting their businesses,” said Michael Kaufman. “Our firm’s increased prominence in the legal industry showcases the natural growth that results from prioritizing clients, and we thank them for trusting us as their legal and business advisors.”
