Posted Jan 24, 2022

(January 24, 2022, Westport, Conn.) — Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP (KD), a leading national law firm, today announced the opening of a Westport, Conn., office and the addition of labor and employment partner Reshma Khanna, who will serve as the Westport office managing partner.  The office in Westport will serve new and existing clients in the areas of labor and employment, professional liability, and commercial litigation.

The new KD office is located at 55 Post Road West, Suite 200, Westport, CT., 06880.

“When we opened our Westchester office last spring and added 11 attorneys in the office in October, we had a goal of increasing our service across the region and reaching into upstate New York and Connecticut,” said Michael A. Kaufman, co-managing partner of KD. “Reshma’s established relationships in New York and Connecticut will be a great asset as we leverage our platform in the regions.”

Khanna represents a wide variety of clients in both transactional and litigious labor and employment matters at the state and federal level. She also counsels’ clients in professional liability. Khanna joins KD from Goldberg Segalla, where she was a labor and employment partner and handled claims for large insurers and claim management agencies. Prior to beginning her legal career, Khanna spent nearly a decade working in the insurance industry as a claims examiner and analyst.

“Reshma is an industry leader in the field of employment law, and having worked in the insurance industry, she brings invaluable first-hand experience that will be an asset to our clients,” said KD co-managing partner Ivan J. Dolowich. “KD’s primary commitment is always to delivering the highest level of professional service by knowing what clients want and how to effectively and efficiently meet their expectations – Reshma’s reputation proves she shares this same commitment to her clients and is a natural match for enhancing our strong and growing team.”

“Knowing KD first began as an employment law firm that grew over 35 years into a multi-practice national presence, I knew the firm would be a great professional fit for me, as I look to expand my practice nationwide,” Khanna said. “KD has an enviable national reputation and I look forward to the cross-industry opportunities that joining this national team offers.”

Khanna received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University. She is a member of the South Asian Bar Association of New York, the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. She also is a Diversity Admissions Board Member at her alma mater Brooklyn Law School, involved in the school’s mentor program, and serves as a mediator with the New York Peace Institute, a non-profit agency supporting New York City residents in resolving disputes outside of the court system. She is licensed in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
