Informal Discovery Conferences – New Discovery Rules for Civil Cases in Alameda Superior

Katherine Catlos, Partner and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, CIPP/US, CIPM, and Marcus Dong, attorney will be giving a presentation on Alameda County Superior Court’s new Local Rule 3.31 at the Alameda County Bar Association Informal Discovery Conference on January 29, 2020.

Learn about the practical application of the rule, the application of the rule in specific circumstances (including electronically stored information), and hear panelists’ thoughts on the rule, including its place in the meet and confer process, from a plaintiff and defense perspective.  The program will also provide insight from the Court on how it treats IDCs, what practitioners should provide to the Court which would be most beneficial ahead of IDCs, and the effectiveness of the rule.
