Claim Executive of the Year (CEY) Awards Banquet
The Claim Executive of the Year (CEY) Awards Banquet is an annual dinner that was founded by Chris Cavallaro, of ARC Excess & Surplus, and Ivan Dolowich, of Kaufman Dolowich Voluck, LLP to honor and recognize leadership, character and technical expertise in the claims side of the Management and Professional Liability insurance business.
This year’s honoree is, Karen Stuttman, Vice President, Professional Services/Affinity Claim at CNA. Karen is responsible for CNA’s claim team dedicated to Architects & Engineers, Accountants, Lawyers and Realtors and not-for-profit Homeowner Associations. She joined CNA in 2000 as an Assistant Vice President, managing a variety of professional liability claim units. Prior to her employment with CNA, Karen was a member of Peterson & Ross in NYC, focused on coverage litigation. She also practiced medical malpractice litigation at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker in White Plains prior to joining P&R. Karen received her B.A. from Emory University and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Over the years, claim professionals have made significant contributions to the insurance industry as well as to countless industries impacted by claims and litigation, yet in our view such professionals have not received the same level of recognition as other insurance industry leaders. Recipients of the CEY Award are selected based on their years of creative contributions and devoted service to the insurance industry, as well as their ability to lead and influence others to achieve superior results while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism in the industry.
In recognition of our honoree’s dedication and service, the CEY Committee will contribute net proceeds from the dinner to the honoree’s favorite charity, The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s (AFA).
