On ‘Canvas Fingerprinting,’ Daily Journal’s Video Interview ft. Mark Mao

Hsiao (Mark) C. Mao, partner in the firm’s San Francisco office, was recently interviewed by the Daily Journal, following an article he co-wrote with Jonathan Yee, associate in Los Angeles, titled “Expect more stringent regulations over ‘big data’ to emerge.” In the video, available on the Daily Journal website, Mark discusses the new form of website tracking, known as canvas fingerprinting, and the inevitable regulations that will be implemented to control the collection of user data through this technology.
