2017 CLM & Business Insurance Construction Conference

Scott Miller, Partner & Chairperson of KD’s Construction Accident Practice Group, recently attended the CLM Business Insurance Construction Conference. The CLM and Business Insurance Construction Conference covers all aspects of insurance, risk, and claims management aspects of  insurance related to the construction industry. In addition to addressing construction defects and other hot topics, conference sessions also address facets of construction site accidents/injuries, coverage issues, subcontractor issues, risk management, and new technologies. Sessions address issues on the national, regional, and state levels. In addition to the interactive educational sessions, conference attendees networked with other thought-leaders in the industry.

The three day event was held in the beginning of October in San Diego, CA. The Construction Conference opening session featured Mark Lanterman, Chief Technology Officer at Computer Forensic Services, delivering his keynote titled “Don’t Be Another Fish in the Dark ‘Net”.  Dinner followed on the USS Midway. he days were filled with special guest speakers and breakaway sessions for smaller group conversations. Over 50 expert speakers and panelists lead the conversation for the emerging trends in Construction Liability. Mr. Miller plans on attending another conference involving construction insurance in November.
