Subcontractor Trade Association’s SPECIAL BREAKFAST SEMINAR: Risk Avoidance

Posted Apr 3, 2013

Event Start Date: Feb 29, 2012

The EEOC just released a report stating discrimination claims hit an all-time record in 2011. Such claims are distracting and potentially very expensive to resolve. In this seminar, Keith Gutstein, Co-Chair of KD’s Labor & Employment practice, will discuss employment discrimination and harassment and what steps your company can take to avoid having related claims filed in the first place.
Also, because employers are constantly faced with new — and often complex — statutory regulations, and increased oversight by the U.S. Department of Labor and other government agencies, Mr. Gutstein will discuss the major provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York State Labor Law, including wage and hour compliance, the consequences of misclassifying employees and more. There will be a Question & Answer session at the conclusion of the presentation.

The construction industry is widely known to be targeted by the US Department of Labor. Do not miss the opportunity to learn how to protect your business by attending this highly informative seminar!
