January 28, 2013 — Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP (KD), a nationally recognized law firm, today announced Ellen R. Storch and Hsiao (Mark) Mao as new partners.
Ms. Storch works in the firm’s Woodbury (Long Island), New York office; Mr. Mao is based in its San Francisco office.

Ms. Storch represents international, national and local employers in a wide variety of employment law actions. Her practice includes discrimination and harassment cases, restrictive covenant disputes and wage and hour law matters in federal and state courts, and before various human rights commissions and other governmental agencies. Complementing her litigation practice, Ms. Storch provides day-to-day advice and counsel to employers regarding the panoply of laws that govern and affect the employment relationship, with special emphasis on litigation avoidance strategies.
Mr. Mao defends and litigates on behalf of financial institutions, including securities broker dealers, investment advisory firms, lenders and companies making public and private offerings. He has also successfully defended professionals, such as registered representatives, investment advisors, real estate brokers, insurance brokers, certified public accountants, and attorneys in legal disputes. Mr. Mao has broad experience in alternative dispute resolution forums such as FINRA, as well as litigation experience in federal and state courts.
