Kaufman Dolowich’s Westchester Co-MP On Expansion Plans, Law 360 Pulse, featuring John Mancebo, October 5, 2021

Long Island-based Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP announced last week that it had absorbed the 12-attorney firm Babchik & Young LLP, betting on continued demand for employment work in the tri-state area. Joining Kaufman Dolowich are five partners, including the smaller firm’s founding partners Jack Babchik, an employment litigator, and Bruce Young, a construction attorney. Partners Jordan Sklar and Siobhan Healy, both management-side employment lawyers, as well as liability, vertical transportation and labor litigator Matthew Rosen, round out the new partnership. Of counsel Karen Wagner and associates Melissa Cartaya, Thomas Connolly, Matthew Mann, Alexandra Robins and Matthew Solomon, who collectively handle a mix of employment, construction and liability litigation, 

John Mancebo, who will co-manage Kaufman Dolowich’s newly augmented White Plains office along with Babchik, spoke to Law360 Pulse on Tuesday about the acquisition and the firm’s overall expansion strategy. The labor and employment practice continues to grow as a result of the pandemic, which was one of the reasons why we initially expanded to the Westchester area.
