 Partner Avery Dial Elected to Goodwill Industries South Florida Board

MIAMI, FL. (April 20, 2023) Avery Dial, a partner in Kaufman Dolowich’s Fort Lauderdale office and co-deputy chair of the firm’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group, was recently elected to the board of Goodwill Industries South Florida. Dial is an active member of the South Florida community, dedicating his time and talents to a number of organizations that benefit those living in the area.

As a member of the board for Goodwill Industries South Florida, Dial will support the organization’s efforts dedicated to training, employment, and job placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to work. “We are pleased to welcome Avery Dial to our Board of Directors,” said David Landsberg, CEO of Goodwill South Florida. “His wide range of expertise will serve us well as we carry out Goodwill’s mission.”

A partner at Kaufman Dolowich, Dial has an active legal practice that runs the gamut of commercial, and professional liability, insurance coverage, labor and employment, data privacy, intellectual property, product liability, and wrongful death litigation. He defends businesses and professionals accused of data breaches and privacy violations and advises companies in a variety of industries on pre and post-data breach practices. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate education.

“After working alongside the chair of Goodwill’s Governance Committee, Chuck Rosenberg, as co-counsel on a pro bono matter over the past six years, I was interested to learn more about the organization and the impact it makes in the South Florida community,” said Dial. “I was sold on becoming more involved after touring the massive manufacturing facility. It’s an honor to join them in supporting this amazing organization.”

Dial earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate education. He currently serves as the chairman of the board of directors of the Foundation for Sickle Cell Research (FSCDR) and is a University of Florida Levin College of Law – Law Center Association trustee.
