Hsiao (Mark) C. Mao, Vice Chair of both KDV’s Technology Practices Group and Financial Services Practice Group, is quoted in an article regarding cyber attacks potentially affecting financial markets and the companies, and legal counsel, who may be exposed to liability. The article was published by the Daily Journal on December 2, 2014.

Mark Mao, a partner and vice chair of the financial services group at Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP in San Francisco, emailed, “I expect this to be where plaintiffs’ counsel for consumers or affected traded companies would test their private actions for ‘damages’ and proof of ‘causation’ for data breaches.”
