(September 08, 2014, 8:55 PM ET) — Apple Inc. is facing harsh scrutiny following last week’s disclosure that a “very targeted attack” on celebrities’ iCloud accounts exposed their nude photos, but attorneys say the lack of monetary harm and the company’s robust terms of service will make it difficult for both plaintiffs and regulators to hold the service provider liable for the leak.
