John R. Gonzo is Managing Partner of KDVG's New Jersey Office with more than 15 years of experience in Insurance defense; Professional Liability; Errors and Omissions defense for attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, insurance agents, real estate agents; Legal Malpractice; Miscellaneous Errors and Omissions matters; Media and Cyber Liability. His practice also includes Employment Litigation, Directors and Officers Liability, Construction Law, Insurance Coverage and General Commercial Litigation.
He represents attorneys, doctors, accountants, architects, engineers, insurance agents and brokers, realtors, directors and officers as well as insurance companies, private clients and third party administrators in state and federal courts and before regulatory boards.
Prior to joining KDVG, Mr. Gonzo was Senior Partner and Chair of a national law firm's Professional Liability Practice Group. Then he established his own law firm.
Mr. Gonzo received his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School, a Master of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University. He is a nationally recognized, published author of articles and other pieces regarding Professional Liability issues.
Mr. Gonzo is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. His memberships include the New Jersey, Bergen County and American Bar Associations as well as the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). He also serves as an Executive Board Member of the Boy Scouts of America, Northern New Jersey Council and an Assistant Scoutmaster of C Troop 34.
