Christopher Nucifora concentrates his practice in the areas of Commercial Litigation; Fidelity and Surety Law; Construction Law; Errors and Omissions defense for architects, engineers, insurance agents, attorneys and real estate agents; Miscellaneous Errors and Omissions matters; Media and Cyber Liability.
Mr. Nucifora has extensive experience litigating complex commercial matters in federal and state courts on behalf of insurance agents and brokers, sureties, contractors, architects, engineers and corporations; pursuing and defending performance, payment bond claims, defaults, termination and takeover claims; indemnity and subrogation; contract disputes; construction lien claims; prevailing wages claims; change order disputes; delay and acceleration claims; defect claims; design malpractice claims; and resolving commercial and contract surety disputes from initial claim through trial.
Mr. Nucifora is a published author with articles on many topics including the groundbreaking area of cyber security law for the New Jersey Law Journal. A frequent presenter of continuing legal education and other informational forums for business, industry, and bar associations on many legal topics, including the Basic Principals of Surety and Fidelity Law the he presented at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
In 2009, Mr. Nucifora was included in the New Jersey Law Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40” list of “promising young professionals as well as NJBIZ’s 2009 “Forty Under 40.” Both of these awards recognize Mr. Nucifora for his achievements in legal practice, the community and public service, distinguishing them among their peers.
Mr. Nucifora earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law and Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University. Mr. Nucifora is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the District of Columbia and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. His memberships include the American, New Jersey and Bergen County Bar Associations.
